Pendrive to "Lock" your Google Account

Google introduced a new security methods. In addition to the password and authentication of two stages, Google has now introduced a USB flash device as a "key" for all of its online services.

Flash that was introduced by Google is intended to provide more protection for the accounts of Google services that the level of safety sensitive.

That method, cited KompasTekno from Digital Trends (10/21/2014), called the Security Key. Universal protocol technology that uses 2nd Factor (U2F) FIDO artificial Alliance.

Flash to be used must first be paired with a Google account. After that, each time the user logged in, the flash must also be plugged in the computer / laptop via USB port.

According to Google, the protection advantage is that users can avoid phishing and scam, or fraud and data theft. Because, Security Key will only work with the original Google sites, not imitation websites designed to trick users.

"When you go to your Google account using Chrome and Security Key, then you can be sure that the cryptographic identity in it can not be deceived," said Google spokesman, Nishit Shah.
