Not stopping there, Microsoft decided to merge the name of Nokia and chose to release the product under the name Microsoft Devices.

Mobile phones and tablet devices currently available or are marketed under the name Asha Lumia, without the name of Nokia. Several initiatives Nokia to reach markets outside the initial ecosystems, such as the Nokia X that utilizes the Android operating system, also stopped.

However, that does not mean the end of the Finnish company. They made a surprise re-entry into the market by announcing N1 device, an electronic slates run by the latest Android operating system, namely Lollipop. This is their rebuttal to accusations that Nokia has ended.

"They were wrong," said Head of Product Nokia Sebastian Nystrom, in a brief presentation at Slush 2014 event held in Helsinki, Finland.

The use of the Android operating system itself is a surprise, because during the Nokia faithful to the Windows Mobile operating system, while the Nokia X initiatives that have been discontinued and that is only open to the outside of the Google ecosystem.

Nokia also understand polar world electronics industry which is now shifting toward Asia to peg the release date in the first quarter of 2015, more precisely, launched in China before the Chinese New Year.

The strategy will be effective in boosting predicted sales of products that will be released at a price of 250 USD.

With a selling price of 250 US dollars, or approximately USD 3.1 million, N1 is more affordable price compared to products from Apple, the iPad Mini 3, which both have a 7.9-inch landscape display and sharpness of 2048 x 1536 pixels. iPad Mini 3 sold for 399 US dollars, or approximately Rp 4.9 million.

When juxtaposed be difficult to distinguish the two products, because both have a similar design, the hole under the loudspeakers as well as voice for the voice and ear plugs on the side.

Only, N1 thinner with a thickness of 6.9 millimeters compared to the iPad Mini 3 is 7.5 millimeters thick.

Holding Intel, N1 has a 64-bit processor with four core speed of 2.3 gigahertz and 2 gigabytes of memory. One note is behind the 8-megapixel camera that is not too special, but could catch up to high-definition detail.

Currently, Z Launcher is free for download at Play Store for other Android phone users, although it is possible for the owner to use the services N1 other application launcher.

Nokia also certainly bring HERE Maps, a navigation service that is no less than Google, Google Maps. The advantages of HERE Maps is offline operation making it easier for those who are in areas beyond the reach of cellular signals as long as the previous map file to download.

N1 sales in China in the month of February 2015 will be deciding whether Nokia which adheres to the strategy of premium goods at affordable prices will be accepted by the market.

This is an opportunity for Nokia to back up the heyday them back even though it is not easy given many champions who reluctantly shifted, like Xiaomi or Samsung.
