Reasons Zenfone Max Plus M1 Not Use Qualcomm Chipset

Zenfone Max Plus M1

Zenfone Max Plus M1 just launched, but different from the previous Max series. If the Zenfone 4 Max series uses the Qualcomm chipset, in this series Taiwanese vendors use Mediatek. Does this indicate ASUS will switch to mediatek?

Region Director of ASUS South East Asia, Benjamin Yeh, explains, the selection of mediatek in Zenfone Max Plus M1 has been through careful consideration and not without reason.

"Based on the experience and recommendations of technicians, the use of this chipset is judged to be appropriate both the power consumption side, the camera, the audio, and the screen so that it was decided in the right time and device," said Benjamin in Jakarta, Thursday (1/3/2010) .

However, Benjamin ensures that ASUS continues to use other chipsets on other mobile devices.

On the same occasion, Benjamin said, ASUS still put the technology that can be used by everyone. "We are always looking for the technology information the market wants, if it is available in the market, we will catch up with it, otherwise we will launch it on demand," Benjamin said.

Just to note, Zenfone Max Plus M1 uses Mediatek MT6750T chipset with Octa-core (4x1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4x1.0 GHz Cortex-A53). Powered by ARM Mali-T860MP2 520 MHz GPU and 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory. As the name implies, this time Max series pinned battery capacity of 4130 mAh and maximized Asus PowerMaster technology.
